Locum Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.Start date would be 1st August 2025 for one year.Applications are invited for one locum full time Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia based at the Royal Hospital for Children.Post: 10PA contract with responsibilities to general and emergency theatres. The on call commitment for this post is 1 in 20, providing cover for out of hours emergencies on the RHC siteThe successful candidates will work alongside 26 Anaesthetic consultants providing on call cover to the general rota. The department also includes a consultant cardiac anaesthetic rota staffed by 5 paediatric cardiac anaesthetists. Additionally there are advanced paediatric anaesthesia trainees, post-CCT Fellows and specialty trainees rotating from the West of Scotland Training Scheme.All applicants must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving their CCT at the time of interview.
