The ideal candidate will have exceptional typing speed and accuracy, as well as a solid understanding of medical terminology. Your primary responsibility will be to transcribe medical reports and letters, and other documents accurately and efficiently. The audio typist will provide a comprehensive service to both the General Surgery and Urology Consultants, as well as to Clinical Nurse Specialists and junior medical staff. You will also support the secretarial teams. There will be occasional assistance required provided to the general admin team, as and when required. The role of an audio typist is a challenging job and you will be required to use your own initiative and ensure patient confidentiality.
